Apple Sausage Stuffed Butternut Squash

All other ingredients may be found at your local health foods store or farmer’s market!
This recipe screams fall with all its flavors. Great dinner for a cold, wet night.
Cut the ends off the butternut squash, slice it in half, and scoop out the seeds. Lightly brush both sides with olive oil, add sea salt and pepper to taste, and place it in the oven at 375 F for 45 minutes.
Place the bacon into a skillet over medium heat. After about five minutes, turn the bacon and begin adding the sausage.
Once the sausage and bacon is 30% cooked, add the onions and garlic.
Once the sausage and bacon is 70% cooked, add the apples, sage, and rosemary.
Continue cooking until sausage is browned before adding it to the butternut squash and placing back in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from oven, slice, and serve.
